PhD in Biohemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Belgrade in 2012. From 2013-19, Post-doctoral research at University of Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands in the area of discovery, engineering and application of oxidoreductases and protein nano-cages. Work resulted in several scientific publications and 3 patent application. In 2017 he was Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of GECCO Biotech B.V., Groningen, The Netherlands. He has been envolved in the setting up Gecco as an enzyme supplier company, transforming business into a CRO and incorporating in 2019. Development of IP protected technology for licensing business model. Privately owned, self-funded, raised ~1.5 M€ in non-diluting funding. He is also Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of OXYCO ( The Enzyme Factory S.L., Barcelona, Spain), a joint venture stablished in 2022between GECCO Biotech and Zymvol Biomodeling. OXYCO builds on the proprietary enzymes developed at GECCO. Company is focused on bringing bio-melanin to the cosmetic, food and electronic industry. Additionally, he is also member of the Advisory Board of Zymvol Biomodeling (2022) and Scientific Advisor of MEALA FoodTech, Haifa, Israel (2022).
